After some really strong episodes this one is a bit of a miss, We’re reverting a bit too far on the Dal-is-insecure subplot. Dal taking performance enhancing epigenetic is really just a bit blah. Roman special ops is fun, but it’s not very plausible that the kids could survive for more than about 20 seconds.
So we get a bunch of running around for not much purpose, and a shocking reveal at the end that isn’t very well earned. And oh no, not another Soong. But combined with the Human Augment storyline from Enterprise.
Not terrible, but not the best either.
