I can’t think of a funny lead in tonight. Spoilers.
Good strong A plot, with character development matched to a good Star Trek ‘disabled space ship’ plot. Did take a long time moving the pieces around, but was fun when it got everything there.
Interesting that Mariner went to the academy with someone who’s a Captain now. It makes her arc a lot clearer. I just wish that it was a little clearer whether Mariner’s desire to stay in her current position was a result of some event or events, or was just a change in mindset. Either is fine, but especially now the Academy Mariner is on the table it does need to be a bit clearer.
Nice to see where all the weird uncured people following the various accidents that happen in a Star Trek series (complete with TOS and Voyager cross references). The plot was fairly by-the-numbers though, and would have been nice to have seen any kind of character challenge for Boimler.
