The spoilers in this post are being kept under guard.
While the ‘reveal’ (it’s all a training exercise) is obvious almost from the start, it was nice seeing an alternative to the Kobayashi Maru in testing Star Fleet cadets. Anson Mount is always great as Captain Pike, and he has a lot to work with here. It’s a fun minisode without being earth shattering.
