The most direct ‘false hope’ episode, with the Voyager crew hypnotised into thinking they’re going home.
I think I would’ve preferred the episode done around the other way. We see Seven’s perspective, as she tries to stop the fantasy. But the other version, with Janeway et al convinced that Seven is trying to sabotage them, would have made for a good twist. Oh well, maybe next time.
The relationship developing between Seven and Naomi Wildman is interesting. Somehow it works, and despite some poor writing (like the horrible Holodeck episode) Naomi is a pretty good character. They don’t really do very much with it here, other than draw the two of them closer together.
