Janeway diverts the ship to follow Star Fleet’s highest priority.
This episode could have pretty comfortably been an episode of The Original Series. That’s both good and bad – the pace is pretty slow, and there’s far too much talking, and not a clear enough reason why this thing is so bad. The threat isn’t sold.
Still, there are some nice moments along the way. And Seven of Nine’s complex relationship with the Omega particles was managed quite deftly. But no one else really got much of a story to tell this week.
