Seven of Nine has a bit of a relapse in the whole ‘Borg’ thing.
Overall, I thought this was an inevitable story told too early, and not told well enough. I think the show would have benefited from taking a leaf from DS9’s books, and stretching some of the memories of her youth out over a longer period, and also getting us more accustomed to her. Someone who was under guard episode is not very shocking a choice for the sudden betrayal.
On a side note: the aliens in this episode have one of the silliest costumes ever. I understand wanting to avoid the ‘bumpy nose of the week’ problem of creating new alien races, but what they settled on was just ridiculous looking. It completely undermined them as a threat.
