Wesley’s back, just in time to save the day.
Overall this was a pretty bad episode. Wesley’s budding romance is fine, but coupling it with another obnoxious ‘only Wesley can save us’ plot is not good. I find it hard to believe that no one else in the crew could avoid it, that Troi couldn’t sense something unusual in Riker, that Picard could ever be convinced to play a game, that La Forge would play a game while his close friend data is lying in a coma…
You get the idea. This episode doesn’t so much have plot holes as it is composed entirely of them. There is very, very little to recommend this one I’m afraid.
