Janeway smuggles telepaths across a volume of space.
Perhaps a little bit too predictable in the end, but this is a nicely written and acted piece that gives Janeway a good story to herself. Barely anyone else even gets any screen time this week, other than the charismatic alien inspector. The entire episode would have failed completely if the relationship wasn’t believable, but thankfully it works.
The final act lets things down slightly, as it all becomes a little bit too *Leverage* ‘Oh, you anticipated my betrayal, here’s an elaborate trap’. I half expected Janeway to say “let’s go steal a wormhole”.
